I also understand that when preparing to engaging the overdrive that the clutch should be depressed along with lifting on the throttle to relive load while engaging the overdrive into 3rd or 4th gear.ģrd. I have always understood that the overdrive in my GT6 was only to be used in 3rd and 4th gears and never in 1st or 2nd or REVERSE.Ģnd.
Ok I have a 1971 GT6 with overdrive and have come to the conclusion that I have been driving it without fully understanding the correct operating procedure for it in my belief so I am asking for some guidance on this process of the operation of an overdrive unit.ġst.
